The aims of the Lincoln Civic Trust is to increase and develop public amenities, preserve buildings and monuments of historic or artistic value, whilst coordinating activities relating to architecture, music, drama & art.
The Trust are invited as consultees to comment on development proposals within the City’s Conservation Areas and on Listed Buildings which are submitted to the Council.
The Trust is also invited to represent public views on major projects and partnerships and vision groups concerning development of the City, including transport centres, Lindongate, Historic Lincoln Partnership, the Castle and east-west link road highway plans.
In the last 70 years heritage and environment have become more prominent and the interest in the enhancement of restored buildings, for both private housing & business has increased.
The Trust is active in the field of public consultation & opinion, education on conservation and social projects.
Membership is always open.
